CHE COSA E’
FENAZIL 2% crema è un antistaminico per uso topico.
Serve come antiallergico, per attenuare il bruciore ed il prurito localizzati.
PERCHE’ SI USA
FENAZIL 2% crema si usa nel caso di punture di insetti ed altri fenomeni irritativi cutanei localizzati, quali rossore, bruciore e prurito.
QUANDO NON DEVE ESSERE USATO
Ipersensibilità al principio attivo o ad uno qualsiasi degli eccipienti. In caso di eczemi o lesioni secernenti. E’ opportuno consultare il medico anche nei casi in cui tali disturbi si fossero manifestati in passato. Controindicato nei bambini di età inferiore a 2 anni.
PRECAUZIONI PER L’USO
Il prodotto è solo per uso esterno. Usare solo su cute integra.
QUALI MEDICINALI O ALIMENTI POSSONO MODIFICARE L’EFFETTO DEL MEDICINALE
Informare il medico o il farmacista se si è recentemente assunto qualsiasi altro medicinale, anche quelli senza prescrizione medica.
Evitare l’uso contemporaneo di altri farmaci per uso topico dermatologico.
Se state usando altri medicinali, chiedete consiglio al vostro medico o farmacista.
E’ IMPORTANTE SAPERE CHE
L’uso prolungato ed incongruo del prodotto può dare origine a fenomeni di sensibilizzazione allergica, con conseguente peggioramento della sintomatologia. Nel caso ciò si verifichi, occorre sospendere il trattamento e consultare il medico, al fine di istituire una terapia idonea.
Dato che l’applicazione del FENAZIL 2% crema può ritardare i processi di cicatrizzazione, esso non deve essere impiegato per più di 3-4 giorni consecutivi su lesioni nelle quali sia in atto tale fenomeno. Applicare la crema con precauzione ed in strato sottile quando la cute presenti abrasioni molto estese, per evitare un assorbimento sistemico del prodotto.
Nel caso di eritema solare, non esporre la parte al sole, dopo l’applicazione.
Qualora si manifestassero eruzioni cutanee, fenomeni di irritazione e bruciore il trattamento va sospeso.
Non usare per trattamenti prolungati. Dopo breve periodo di trattamento senza risultati apprezzabili, consultare il medico.
COSA FARE DURANTE LA GRAVIDANZA E L’ALLATTAMENTO
Chiedere consiglio al medico o al farmacista prima di prendere qualsiasi medicinale.
Non risultano limitazioni d’uso durante la gravidanza e l’allattamento; è, comunque, consigliato l’uso solo dopo aver consultato un medico.
Questo medicinale contiene metile paraidrossibenzoato pertanto può causare reazioni allergiche (anche ritardate).
Effetti sulla capacità di guidare veicoli e sull’uso di macchinari
FENAZIL non altera la capacità di guidare veicoli o di usare macchinari.
COME USARE QUESTO MEDICINALE
Quanto
Attenzione: non superare le dosi indicate senza il consiglio del medico.
Come
Applicare un leggero strato di FENAZIL 2% crema sulla parte interessata, massaggiando fino a completo assorbimento.
Quando e per quanto tempo
Ripetere l’applicazione 3-4 volte al giorno.
Attenzione: usare solo per brevi periodi di trattamento.
Consultate il medico se il disturbo si presenta ripetutamente o se si nota un qualsiasi cambiamento recente delle sue caratteristiche.
COSA FARE SE SI E’ PRESA UNA DOSE ECCESSIVA DI MEDICINALE
In caso di ingestione/assunzione accidentale di FENAZIL 2% crema, avvertite immediatamente il medico o rivolgersi al più vicino ospedale.
SE SI HA QUALSIASI DUBBIO SULL’USO DI FENAZIL 2% CREMA, RIVOLGERSI AL MEDICO O AL FARMACISTA
EFFETTI INDESIDERATI
Come tutti i medicinali, Fenazil 2% crema può causare effetti indesiderati sebbene non tutte le persone li manifestino.
L’applicazione topica della Prometazina può, in qualche caso, indurre sensibilizzazione cutanea fino a forme di fotosensibilizzazione.
L’applicazione troppo abbondante di crema su aree molto estese della cute può determinare l’assorbimento del farmaco e causare, in pazienti particolarmente sensibili, sonnolenza.
E’ possibile il verificarsi, in qualche caso, di intolleranza locale (bruciore o irritazione), peraltro priva di conseguenze. In tal caso lavare abbondantemente con acqua la zona interessata e sospendere il trattamento.
Il rispetto delle istruzioni contenute nel foglio illustrativo riduce il rischio di effetti indesiderati.
Se uno qualsiasi degli effetti indesiderati si aggrava, o se si nota la comparsa di un qualsiasi effetto indesiderato non elencato in questo foglio illustrativo, informi il medico o il farmacista.
SCADENZA E CONSERVAZIONE
Scadenza: vedere la data di scadenza riportata sulla confezione.
La data di scadenza si riferisce al prodotto in confezionamento integro, correttamente conservato.
Attenzione: non utilizzare il medicinale dopo la data di scadenza indicata sulla confezione.
Conservare a temperatura non superiore a 30°C.
I medicinali non devono essere gettati nell’acqua di scarico e nei rifiuti domestici.
Chieda al farmacista come eliminare i medicinali che non utilizza più. Questo aiuterà a proteggere l’ambiente.

Eccipienti: glicerolo; estere poliglicolico di acidi grassi; acido stearico; essenza di lavanda; metile paraidrossibenzoato; acqua depurata.

CLASSIFICATION OF MEDICINAL PRODUCT
FENAZIL 2% cream
Promethazine hydrochloride
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Fenazil 2% cream is an antihistamine for topical use.
It is used as an antiallergic, to reduce the burning sensation and localised itching.
USE OF PRODUCT
Fenazil 2% cream is used for insect bites or other irritating symptoms localised on the skin, such as redness, irritation and itching.
DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT
Do not use the product if you are sensitive to the active substance or any of the components.
In case of eczema or on weeping lesions. It is advisable to consult the doctor even in cases where these disorders were manifested in the past.
Do not use in children below 2 years of age.
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
The product is for external use only. Use only on unbroken skin.
WHICH MEDICINALS OR FOOD ITEMS CAN ALTER THE EFFECT OF THIS MEDICINAL PRODUCT
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have recently taken any other medicine, even those without a prescription.
Avoid the simultaneous use of this product together with other topical dermatological pharma-ceutical formulations.
If you are using other medicinals, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
IT’S IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT
The prolonged and incongruous use of the product may provoke allergic sensitisation, with con-sequent worsening of the symptoms. If this occurs, stop the treatment and consult a doctor to establish an appropriate treatment.
Since the application of Fenazil 2% cream could delay the process of healing, it is not recom-mended to be used for more than 3-4 consecutive days on healing skin lesions.
Apply the cream cautiously and in a thin layer if the skin shows extensive lesions, in order to avoid systemic absorption.
In case of heat rash, do not expose the affected part to the sun, after application of the product.
In case that during treatment, the skin develops lesions, irritation and burning sensation, the treatment should be stopped.
Do not use for prolonged treatment. If after a short period of treatment no improvement is noted, consult a doctor.
WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF PREGNANCY OR LACTATION
Ask advice from a doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine.
There are no limitations of use during pregnancy and lactation; however it is recommended that the product is used only after consulting a doctor.
This medicine contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate and therefore may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
EFFECTS ON ABILITY TO DRIVE AND USE MACHINES
Fenazil does not alter the ability to drive or use machinery.
HOW TO USE THIS MEDICINAL PRODUCT
How much to use
Warning: never exceed the indicated doses without medical advice.
How to use
Apply a thin layer of Fenazil 2% cream on the affected part, massaging gently until the cream has been completely absorbed.
When to use and for how long
Repeat the application 3-4 times in a day.
Attention: use only for brief periods of treatment.
Consult the doctor in case the ailment presents itself repeatedly or if you have noticed any re-cent change of its characteristics.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE TAKEN AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF THE MEDICINAL
In case of accidental ingestion / absorption of Fenazil 2% cream, seek medical advice immedi-ately or go to the nearest hospital.
If you have any doubt about the use of fenazil 2% cream, consult your doctor or phar-macist.
UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Fenazil 2% cream may cause undesirable effects although not all people will manifest them.
Topical application of Promethazine could, in some cases, provoke cutaneous sensitisation even photosensitization.
The application of abundant amounts of cream in extended areas of the skin could result in ab-sorption of the medicinal and may cause drowsiness in really sensitive patients.
In some cases there could be local intolerance (burning or irritation), without consequences. In this case, wash the affected part with an abundant amount of water and stop the treatment.
Abiding by the instructions listed in this leaflet, reduces the risk of undesirable effects.
If any of the side effects becomes worse, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.
EXPIRATION AND STORAGE
Expiration: check the expiry date indicated on the product.
The expiry date refers to the product packaging intact, correctly stored.
Attention: do not use the medicinal product after the expiration date indicated on the product.
Keep at temperature not exceeding 30 °C.
Medicinal products must not be disposed of in the waste water and in household waste. Ask your pharmacist
ow to throw the medicinal products that you no longer require. This will help to protect the environment.
Keep this medicinal out of reach and sight of children.
